On April 12, 1981, the Mesón Galego "Antoxo" opened its doors in Torremolinos, fulfilling Juan Mariño's "craving" to bring a piece of Galicia to the Costa del Sol. After several expansions, such as the union with the premises where the Typical Tortas de Torremolinos were made, the "Antoxo" had more room to offer its clients-friends the best service and give a family treatment. In a pleasant atmosphere and with beautiful people, you can enjoy Galician delicacies and the best wines in the heart of Torremolinos. The Mesón Galego “Antoxo” is fully accessible and has its menu in Braille, English, French and Russian.
We had a great dinner there. It was still quite busy,even during mid-September,but we made a reservation to be sure we get in. I ordered a steak with fois grois and caramelized onions, which was excellent. My partner had the grilled octopus with potatoes, which also tasted great. They offered and eggplant spread as starter, on the house, which was also nice. The staff speaks English quite ok,in comparison to other places. Would definitely recommend the place, if you're interested on a nice dinner with excellent food.
I have walked past this restaurant nearly every day for a year but because until recently all the tables were indoors it had never appealed to me. Now there is outdoor seating and with all the distancing regulations in place we ate here the other week. I was really impressed with the menu and the food and service were great. There was a definite impression that the food had been cooked with care and was all made on the premises. The staff were really friendly and attentive, I will return and would recommend. Price wise, it is at the higher end of the offering in Torremolinos so it is a treat rather than a weekly eat.
